Most data destruction puts everything through one machine. We match the method to the media, so hard drives are degaussed, SSDs are shredded, and every serial goes on your certificate next to the method that destroyed it.

Hard drives store data as magnetism, and SSDs store it as electrical charge in silicon. Put an SSD through a degausser and every byte survives, yet the certificate prints exactly the same. That's the gap we built this service around.
A field strong enough to saturate the platters wipes the data and the factory servo tracks together. The drive is permanently dead, and there is nothing left to recover.

Flash has no magnetism to erase, so the only reliable method is physical. We shred to a particle size that leaves no memory chip intact for chip-off recovery.

Most laptops made in the last decade use SSDs. Flash holds data as electrical charge, and a magnet does nothing to it, so we shred it down to the chips.

Storage arrays often mix spinning disks with SSD cache. We identify every disk by serial. The magnetic ones are degaussed and the flash ones shredded, each recorded separately.

Most office MFDs keep a copy of every page they scan on an internal drive. We take the drive out and match the method to whatever type it turns out to be.

If a device still has value we sanitise it with certified software and verify every sector, so the hardware goes back into service. That resale value is how most collections stay free.

03 What we do
Anything from one box of laptops to a full server room. We de-rack, pack and load it ourselves, and log every item by serial before it leaves your building.
IT collection
Degaussed or shredded according to the media, at our Sowerby Bridge facility or on your site with your staff watching.
Data destruction
Working kit is wiped, refurbished and resold, and the value it recovers pays for your collection. What's left is recycled under our WEEE licences, with nothing going to landfill.

If a certificate just says "42 items destroyed", it can't tell an auditor what happened to one particular drive. Ours lists every device by make, model and serial, along with the media type, the method used and the date.
Serials are captured before anything goes on the van.
Media goes in tamper-evident containers in a locked, GPS-tracked van.
You also get a waste transfer note and an asset register as standard.

05 Where we are
We're based in Sowerby Bridge and run regular routes across the Pennines and the North. Smaller jobs get grouped onto those routes, which is how we can keep a one-box collection free.
